The mouse fits in hand smoothly and does not cause fatigue with prolonged use.

However, this mouse has super precise cursor control. At a 4,000 frame rate, the performance is just about flawless.

Tips for Buying a Gaming Mouse with Only $20 to Spare

Check the type of mice. Some are better suited for certain genres than others. If you are a solely RPG player, pick a mouse designed for this genre.

The more specialized your genre is, the more specialized the mouse may need to be.

The best budget gaming mouse products are largely all-purpose gaming mice. These mice tend to be effective for most genres, but not all.

So, even if you are buying an all-purpose mouse, check if it suits your genre first.

The more expensive premium mice are intended for players who prefer to heavily customize everything. These mice do not serve broad-range purposes in general.

Unless you are a competitive high-level player, a cheaper, budget mouse will suffice just fine.

Don’t fall for the advising.

Manufacturers tend to advertise gaming mice with dubious terms such as peripheral and suitable for a particular genre. That is not necessarily true.

For example, if you buy an MMO mouse, it will be suitable for single-player FPS as well. There is no such thing as one perfect mouse for a certain genre.

Weight does matter for gaming mice and can affect gameplay. Do not buy a mouse that is too heavy or too light. Ideally, try to buy a mouse with adjustable weight.

There isn’t a major difference between laser and optical mice, despite what anyone may tell you.

Both mice work fine across many types of genres. You may want to pick the type most comfortable for you.

Don’t overthink DPI.

If you can find a cheap gaming mouse with DPI between 200 and 2,600, a wide range, that should be suitable for average to hardcore player needs.

Buy a mouse that offers good connectivity options. The more you can sync the mouse, the easier it will be for you to game on multiple devices using several accessories.
