All it takes is 5 minutes, maybe less and you have a fully established online shop with shipping and sales all taken care of! Thanks to CafePress, which makes selling customized merchandise online a breeze. CafePress lets you sell apparel, books, music, CDs and more based on designs and prints you specify.

Their services are available for free and as a premium service, needless to say the premium service offers more functionality. The premium service gives you a more custom environment where you can customize the layout of the shop and showcase an unlimited amount of products. The premium service is preferred if you are looking to sell items on a larger scale.

For small scale online selling the basic free version should be sufficient. They allow integration with the CafePress marketplace which gives you more exposure to your products and also allow you to offer a mailing list to keep in touch with your customers. However there are limitations for the free service like only one of each product type per shop maybe listed.

For each sale CafePress takes their cut which is set at a base price, for example a T-Shirt has a base price of $8.99 which is decent I think for the amount of work they cut down, all you have to do is set a price above the base price which is not too overwhelming and you are good to go. CafePress sends you a monthly check with all your commissions you make.

They also handle payments via a secure payment gateway, handle product returns and ship worldwide.
