As promised in the Crunch Time post posted in mid March I said you won’t be seeing much activity until the end of June the least, however you should start seeing new posts again on Computer Realm anytime soon. I’ll be making a few changes though.
First of all, I’ll be giving Computer Realm a different look with a new theme. I think the theme I currently use is great, but i think a simpler theme which is lighter on the eyes would suit Computer Realm better. I’m on a theme hunt now and I should apply an appropriate theme over the next days.
Also, currently the ‘software’ section of the blog is separate, while it follows a similar theme, it’s not part of the blog. I’ve decided to have the ‘software’ section on pages of the blog as well. This makes it easier to manage and also my beloved linkers who buzz about my software would benefit from the automated trackbacks which is not available when it’s not part of the blog.
Before I got the site theme for the ‘software’ section custom written to suit the blog, I had a hard time looking for an appropriate website template so I’ve decided to make the website template used currently for the ‘software’ section available for free download. All this, you should see happening over the next few days.
Also, if you’ve been following Computer Realm closely, you’ll know we had a Banner Service where we designed professional banners at very competitive prices, like I stated in the introductory post, it was experimental and based on the response, I would decide if I would keep it or not, unfortunately it didn’t turn out as successful and I’ve decided to discontinue the service.
After all changes have been made you should see new posts again on Computer Realm. Remember to subscribe by reader or email or follow me on twitter to stay updated.
