The Wayback Machine

Author: luq | Files under the internet

I was just stumbling with the StumbleUpon toolbar when I came across a ‘web archive’ Self-titled the Wayback Machine. All you have to do is type in a site and it list thousands of pages of its past, up to decades back.

It’s interesting to see how sites like Google have changed over time. The latest pages from what I saw was 5 months back, which is probably the latest date they archive to.

You can visit the Wayback Machine here.

I have used this site a few times - more out of curiosity than reason. Its interesting to see what sites used to look like, and how far the internet has developed over recent years.
