The induction of the internet in our life has been like a boon. They have opened up in front of us an altogether new era of knowledge and learning. Moreover, the internet is a very special avenue which has helped a lot of people to get help in a variety of matters and has also come in handy in making sure that people are able to reach out to the world and tell them about themselves.
However, the net is not always very safe. We should make sure that they have all the information regarding the functioning of the net. There are a lot of spyware, viruses malwares etc. which are stored in specific sites. To help you identify these !@#%^, we recently gave you 10 ways to identify if your computer is infected.
If you visit a malicious site, it is imperative that the virus gets downloaded in your computer, thereby infecting it and transmitting all of your personal data. Of course this is the worse case scenario but why risk it, make sure you have specific anti-viruses installed on your computer. Two good examples of antivirus and antispyware programs are Kaspersky and Ad Aware.
Further, the net is also not exactly ‘family friendly’. It is virtually a haven for porn which can be a nightmare for parents looking to protect their kids. You should therefore get parental control software available with the local PC repair shops or get it from the net itself to make sure that your kids are not subjected to such content. A good parental software worth checking out would be iProtectYou.

I can tell you from personal experience, and being a person that has taken many high level computer courses, in college, that Kaspersky is a fantastic Anti-virus program. I’ve been using for over 3 years now, and I personally feel it is the best AV program out there right now. So if anyone else is looking to get an AV program, go with Kaspersky you won’t regret it!
