PDF files are one of the most commonly used file formats today. It is used commercially for ebooks and maybe used to store personal documents in a more presentable manner. PDF files can be used as a comprehensive source to retrieving free or paid information on the Internet.
In most cases a single PDF file might contain more information than we are looking for or because of the high quality output it supports the file size maybe too large to share via email. In these situations, splitting a PDF file may come in handy.
PDFsam is an excellent open source tool that allows you to split (and merge) PDF files. It is available as a Basic and Enhanced version. The two versions typically consist of splitting and merging PDF files among a few other features. A distinctive feature in the Enhanced version is encryption support. It can be downloaded by ‘donating’ $1 to the support forum.
If you are weary of installing new software to your system, you can use this web based PDF splitter as well.
