If you download a lot of files, you might have noticed more than a couple of the same file in different parts of your hard disk. This could be music, images, video, software or anything for that matter. It doesn’t necessarily mean you are not organized, you probably might have created them by accidentally copying a file when you should have moved it, or maybe you downloaded a file at some point in one path of your computer and days later downloaded it again forgetting that you already had it, or maybe you are just not organized.
In any case, with time duplicate files can stack up to make your hard disk very disorganized as well as waste a good percentage of disk space. At some point, you might identify this issue and look to rectify it, however doing so manually can be a virtually impossible task, specially if there are several occurrences of duplicate files in different partitions of your hard disk.
Fortunately though, there’s Duplicate Cleaner (Windows), Duplicate Cleaner is a freeware application that conveniently looks for duplicate files and lets you get rid of them right away. It searches based on different file attributes namely the size, title and also searches for music based on the artist, album, title, etc. It takes a few minutes to perform a full scan for duplicate files but it’s probably worth the wait as it results in gaining a wealth of disk space as well as peace of mind if the issue bothers you.

Very useful tool. I was just about to begin searching for a tool like that since I have very many duplicate files in my computer, and want to get rid of them, but since I have found this software on your post, I don’t have to look for that. Thanks.
