There are lots of software which allow you to play PS2 games, the issue is most of these don’t function efficiently and have several glithces, and I can’t help you with that. Instead I’ll tell you a simple way how to play the videos/movies in PS2 games on a computer.
You’ll need a PS2 game, computer with DVD drive and VLC.
Insert the PS2 game (any game which has a video in it) into the drive. Open it in my computer. Drag the files (the big ones which are more than at least 100MB) into VLC and VLC just might do the magic. It works most of the time. Some times the first half of it would be just seeking and then it would play. Guess one good thing about this is you can check out videos which are supposed to be unlocked as you play the game at the beginning.

This would be great if I could get it to work. I wonder if it only works for certain games. I’m going to keep trying though.

Or you don’t have to have a PS2, you can just download an emulator from the net.

Emulators are very limited and usually don’t function properly on a computer.

this is pretty cool. You could also play ps2 on your computer through the use of emulators … but thats not exactly proper.

no it doesn’t, however it isn’t really there as compared to using the real console, you might have issues with keys, game play, graphics, etc. it’s pretty much hit or miss, some games maybe emulated very well, thanks for the comment, be sure to ask anymore questions you might have.

You could use bink video player from http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm to watch videos. Not to mention that lot of games use *.bik video files. PC/console ones should work fine.
eg:- fallout3, cod4, cod mw2, even good old delta force.
