Affiliate Marketing is yet another efficient way to make money online. Well for those of you who have no idea about affiliate marketing here’s a small explanation:
Affiliate marketing is when you become a ‘referrer’ or ‘affiliate’ of a product or service and promote the product or service by placing banners or text links on your site. When visitors of your website sign up for your referring sites’ service or purchase a product of theirs through your unique referral link which is provided to you, you get a commission! In general terms you place an advertisement on your site and instead of getting paid when a visitor clicks on the link you get paid when they ‘act’ on the link.
The commission varies drastically and it generally depends on what you are referring, for example if you refer a visitor to sign up for a free service you’ll probably get paid around a dollar maybe, but if you are referring something like a $100 product you’ll probably get around 20% of it which is $20 in this case.

Getting paid via Adtoll for referrals is different and does not follow the procedure explained above where the referrer gets paid if a user just signs up for the service. In this referral program referrers get paid ‘progressively’ and it depends on how active the referred user is to the service. For Adtoll the referrer gets paid a 20% commission on profit made from the referred user by advertising for a 90 day period and a 10% commission on profit made from the referred user by publishing other advertisers in the Adtoll service for a 365 day period.
There are many other online services which have their own referral or affiliate program. You would have probably seen links on website like ‘Become an affiliate’ or ‘Referral program’. Some of the programs may pay you a fixed amount per referral, others may pay you a percentage of the cost of the product or service you are referring and others like Adtoll may pay you ‘progressively’ based on how active the user you referred is. So as you can see what you get varies a lot and making the most out of the available space on your site for the referral banners requires you to research through several affiliate programs and deciding what’s the most profitable program and that’s where services like Clickbank come in handy.
Clickbank is a retailer to thousands of different products and they let you become an affiliate so you can promote every product in their large inventory of available products. The products vary in terms of pricing and publishers decide the commission they give you for their products you refer. You refer products with a single link; no banners involved thus leaving plenty of space on your site. With thousands of available products and with Clickbank’s advanced search feature you’ll probably be able to find the ideal and most profitable services to refer.
There are plenty of other services like Clickbank or if you prefer to look for custom referral programs in various websites it’s your call. Affiliate marketing is a proven method to make money online; it is also yet another method which requires a large audience which means you’ll need a website with a lot of traffic before you actually manage to refer even a single product. It is not as efficient as general advertising but it’s the next big thing after it when it comes to making money online.
