Internet Explorer Sucks. Period.

Internet Explorer continues to disappoint. Currently I am trying to figure the reason behind Internet Explorer rendering Computer Realm like this occasionally:

computer-realm-internet explorer

However all the other popular browsers Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari (in no particular order except for the first one!) renders the site perfectly.

Earlier, when Computer Realm Software was separate from the blog with its separate template, Internet Explorer somehow felt the need to render certain text in the footer in luminous purple while there was no mention of that color anywhere in the CSS.

Sadly, with Windows being the most popular OS, and users willing to stick with the default browser, Internet Explorer still has a good slice of browser share, on Computer Realm 39% of visits are from Internet Explorer.  Most other websites have a good piece of their traffic pie from IE users so developers and webmasters spend a good part of their time trying to get websites rendering correctly just for IE.

Microsoft is pushing the new IE 8 hard to the community and looking to market it by reaching the hearts of users, however I’m afraid that marketing campaign won’t go far as it is apparently giving away $0.14 meals to Feeding America!

Reading this via IE? What are you waiting for? Make your switch!

PS – If anyone knows how I could fix the IE rendering issue I’d appreciate the feedback in the comments.

Personally I cannot stand Internet explorer. Actually, I don’t know anyone who can stand it. Although apparently the commenter above me loves it. Though I haven’t used Chrome or Opera, I am sure those are also loads better then IE.

    Till then,

Yes, i’d prefer chrome and opera to IE as well, and the latest IE8 failed the acid3 test miserably (20/100 score) which speaks for itself.

I totally agree IE sucks, some website when open with firefox is ok but when open with IE the website not display correctly. Maybe the IE need to change their browser engine before they can solve this problem.
