How to Open WPS Files

By

A WPS file is a document file type similar to the well known DOC type however with less formatting that DOC offers. WPS files aren’t really as common as the other standard document file types (doc, txt, rtf) however used in popular document applications like Microsoft Works. Thus you might encounter a WPS file and may not have a program associated with it.

Today, fortunately much of the popular document readers support this file format however if you are using an older version of Microsoft Office, etc. the format may not be supported.

Zamzar is a multi format web based free converter which can convert your WPS files to other more popular word formats.

This converter by Microsoft gives support to your current version of Microsoft word for opening and editing WPS files.

A standalone application by Microsoft that lets you view (not edit) WPS files.

The popular opensource office suite also fully supports viewing and modifying WPS files.

There maybe other workarounds you know of available, if you are aware of any of them feedback in the comments would be appreciated below.
