I’m afraid not. Your best bet would be to remove yourself from search results so if anyone searches for you, you cannot be found. This setting can be found in the privacy settings.

@jose… Some people want to make their profile picture private to others because if they didn’t accept their relatives friend request they don’t want them to see their profile picture and get in trouble if the picture was of them for example kissing someone and they dont want other relatives seeing it they could make it private and if they want to send a friend request to their friends they could just send them a message saying who they are so that way the friend can accept the request

Thanks for your feedback, the issue here is privacy, some people just don’t like the idea of their picture being publicly available for anyone to see and (for paranoid people) manipulate. As for fake profiles of celebrities, not giving the option for users to hide their profile picture to non-friends won’t really solve the issue.

While personally I am not fussing, you have to admit there’s quite a stir with some of the users of the network about this development.

I think this post of yours is very deceptive. Of course we know the facebook picture profile is not private. But why should we want to make them private if when we send out friend requests, those to become friends can't see our faces to approve the request. It doesn't make sense. That's why many celebrities complain that they have false profiles everywhere. That's why there are laws that protect us in case of something like that happens. I didn’t find this via Googlw. I found this via another blog.

I never bother to use that feature since I don’t like putting my picture online. You don’t know who might use them for wrong doings.
