If you are using tiny speakers, computer speakers, headphones then it might sound tinny anyway. If you are using decent speakers - check the EQ settings on the device themselves... the last thing you want to do is go to the effort of the above when its a turn of a dial! Also - if you are sharing the file, what sounds great on your playback might sound terrible on someone elses! Finally - carefull you don't overload things and end up with a big fuzzy pile of distortion!
