Title: WMV to FLV?
Post by: Jasmine on November 04, 2009, 01:09:43 PM
I encoded many videos I like to be WMV and these are set at about 1000 k/b with the audio bitrate ranging from 160/192

The files are all about 30MB

I have never used a FLV file so does anyone know how to convert the WMV to FLV and what settings should be used to ensure I dont lose alot of quality? Even if the FLV is bigger but quality is the same I would be happy with this. But I cant seem to find a way to do this. I would prefer a free programme but would be willing to pay for this software.

i'd say use format factory, its virtually the best converter, and its free! as for quality the default settings should do.

I use a programme called Watermark Master but you do have to pay for this but it will allow you to rip videos into many different formats :)

I would highly recommend format factory as well, i use it exclusively whenever i need to convert a file. I wrote a review on the great freeware on Computer Realm as well:
