i noticed this in my workplace and at home, the browser has favorites and sometimes bookmarks, what's the difference between the two?

They are both the same, different browsers use different terms, your workplace and your home might be using two different browsers.

Put the bookmark generally refers to software, and the favorites usually refers to computer favorites, I think so, should be right.
