I think if you email address has already been exploited by spammers, you'll have to look at filtering options, since if you are not giving it away using disposable email addresses wouldn't be the answer. Is your email handled by gmail? if not i suggest you switch to gmail as its spam filter is very efficient, infact i could say it's nearly perfect.

You say a temporary forward but what if you need something more long term. One of my eccommerce sites gets tons of junk on many accounts. These addresses have never been gave out and yet somehow they were still phished out and spammed. I have been slowly cranking up my spam filter but I do not want to miss one from a potential customer.

Tracy’s last blog post..Massage Chair Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Gmail does not completely prevent the spam entering your mailbox however spam mails are efficiently filtered to the spam folder, you barely get any spam as your email is still not exposed to spammers. Using disposable emails and other preventive measures hopefully it should stay that way.

Good advice. Gmail also is incredibly good at eliminating Spam. I average less than 1 spam message in 3 months on Gmail.
