Pay Per ‘Mille’ (Thousand) (Impressions) Optimization Tips

Author: luq | Filed under Making Money Online, the internet, tips

Compared to Pay Per Click optimization, PPM optimization is much less complicated as it pays based on number of times it is displayed rather than clicked. So you don’t need to optimize it to ensure visibility from site visitors.

When it comes to PPM there is only one thing to remember – traffic. Without loads of traffic you won’t be very successful so if you are looking to optimize with PPM, optimize your traffic, also since it doesn’t have to be clicked it would be better to place the banners where it won’t interfere with your content.

Here are some of the advertising companies out there that offer PPM based advertising:

  1. Adbrite
  2. TribalFusion
  3. ValueClick
  4. CasaleMedia
  5. FastClick

This forum thread has a whole list of PPM companies

A search engine may use hundreds of factors while ranking the listings where the factors themselves and the weight each carries may change continually.
